Robotics

This week in 3/4N we have been learning about Ozobots. Ozobots are little robots that respond to black lines that are 5mm wide. They are the size of a ping pong ball. They do different maneuvers such as spin, tornado, turbo and many more using different types of codes that involve different colours such as blue, black, red and green.

NAIDOC celebrations

       This week was NAIDOC week and Aboriginal people danced at  the school.at the front of the canteen and in the library there was food. And people painted Aboriginal people with ochre. And then after the ceremony people had cake and food.

spelling activities

For spelling activities we have done spelling words out of blocks. We used our spelling book to see what to do for our spelling activities. Some of the spelling blocks are small, medium and large. Some people did finish and some didn't finish.

investigating volume

In maths we have been learning to find the volume of objects. We made 3D boxes out of paper. The first one we made out of sheet paper, the second one we made from our grid books. The sheet paper wasn't accurate 1 cm squares so we had to use our grid book to make a rectangular prism. We used blocks to find out the volume. It was meant to fit 100 cm cubes.

On Friday my aunt  showed Rutherford public

school about our culture.We learned about different hunting tools,languages and dances.
